Whilst other driving schools focus on little more than students can pass the driving test, “the mechanics” Total Driver “proactive driver” program focuses on how to manage the intake of information, so the driver can see. This unique approach produces proactive rather than reactive drivers.
Most importantly, for our students with learning impairments and disabilities who were told they would never drive. Not only are they successful with the Total Driver program, they are actively contributing to, and driving safely within the community.

We have spoken with academics and senior traffic Police, some with over 30 years of experience in road crashes and safety, They strongly agree the problem is the poor levels of driver training in Australia, one of the worst in the developed world. And that the driving crashes, where the driver is impaired by one of more of the fatal five, are symptoms, not causes. We understand that the only effective way to significantly reduce the road toll, is to ensure all learners are taught how to drive properly.
