Don’t look down, managing driver fatigue

Don’t look down!!

All the road safety advertisements; cries from the Police, the Politicians, to concentrate when driving, watch the road, well they are WRONG. Not even going to pussyfoot around here. Just plain WRONG.

As an example, recently a new student joined the team, high anxiety was one of the challenges in driving.

The cause – you will love this- her previous driving instructor was a policeman, who kept telling her to watch the road, obey the signs, follow the lines

The information then is happening too late, too fast, and is too overwhelming. No one can cope. What did we do to fix the anxiety, picked her eyes up, stopped her watching lines and markings and taught her specific techniques in hand-eye coordination, steering technique and peripheral vision skills.

Simples really.
